Vortex 30mm Aimpoint Micro Mount – A True T1/T2 Piggyback for the Original OPMOD Cantilever

If you’re running a Vortex Strike Eagle kit with the original OPMOD 30mm cantilever mount (2" offset), you already know how limited your red-dot options are. The mount is everywhere—thousands of shooters have it—but nobody has ever made a proper Aimpoint Micro footprint piggyback mount for it.

Most people end up buying clamp-on adapters that grab the scope tube. They work, but they’re bulky, shift over time, and throw off your rifle’s balance. What shooters really need is a real piggyback mount that bolts directly to the cantilever body, not a workaround.

Why We Built This Mount

1. Zero companies support this specific Vortex mount

The OPMOD 30mm cantilever isn’t the same as the Vortex Pro, Precision, or Sport cantilevers.
Its top plate geometry is different — which means no off-the-shelf T1/T2 piggyback mounts fit it.

Shooters were forced to run:

tube clamps
strap adapters
offset rails
or weird stacked adapters

None of them sit low. None of them look clean.
And none of them are a true Aimpoint Micro interface.

This mount fixes that.

2. A real mount — not a clamp, not an adapter

Clamp-on adapters always have the same issues:

they rotate
they mark the scope tube
they loosen under recoil
they sit way too high

A piggyback should feel like part of the scope mount — not a band-aid.

This design bolts directly into the OPMOD mount using the built-in screw bosses. No extra hardware. No nonsense. Just a clean, rigid platform for a T1/T2 or compatible red dot.

**3. The cheapest proper T1/T2 solution**

Instead of:

buying a new $150+ mount
or stacking $75 worth of adapters
or running a bulky offset rail

…you can use the mount you already own and add a high-quality piggyback for a fraction of the price.

This is the most affordable true Aimpoint Micro mount for the original OPMOD cantilever.

The Reason This Product Exists

This was built because the market ignored a massive group of shooters.

The Vortex OPMOD mount comes bundled with tens of thousands of Strike Eagle kits, but no one ever offered a proper piggyback solution for the Aimpoint Micro footprint. Shooters were stuck with weird adapters and clamp-ons.

So we fixed it.
