Vortex 30mm RMR Scope Ring – Why We Built It, and Why It Exists at All

If you own a Vortex Strike Eagle or any of the kits that come with the 30mm OPMOD cantilever mount, you already know one thing:

There has never been a true RMR-pattern piggyback mount made for this scope mount… until now.

Most red-dot options for this setup rely on clamp-on adapters that attach directly to the scope tube. They work, but they’re bulky, they shift under recoil, and honestly—they look goofy. We wanted something better, cleaner, and actually engineered for the mount people already own.

That’s where this product comes from.

Why We Designed This Mount

1. No One Supports This Mount

The OPMOD/Vortex 30mm Sport Cantilever Mount is incredibly common—it’s bundled with tons of Vortex kits, especially Strike Eagles.
But despite how many shooters have it, no major company has ever produced a direct RMR-footprint piggyback for it.

Everything on the market is either:

  • A scope-tube clamp that’s awkward and shifts, or
  • A mount made for a different Vortex cantilever, which will not fit the OPMOD version.

This is the first purpose-built option for this exact mount.

2. A True Mount, Not a Tube Clamp

Clamp-on adapters feel like a workaround.
This is a machined aluminum mount that bolts right into the existing hardware points on the cantilever—exact fit, correct height, and zero movement.

It gives you the cleanest piggyback red-dot solution at the lowest price point in the category.

3. It’s the Cheapest Proper Way to Add a Red Dot

We intentionally designed this to be:

  • Simple
  • Strong
  • Accurate
  • Affordable

At $75, this is the most cost-effective real mount for anyone running the entry-level Strike Eagle kit.

You get a true RMR footprint piggyback without spending $150–$250 on higher end mounts that don't even include the RMR mount cap.

Compatibility – Read This Part

This mount is designed only for the Vortex 30mm OPMOD / Sport Cantilever Mount (2″ offset) shown in the photo above.

It will not fit:

  • Vortex Pro mounts

  • Vortex Precision rings

  • Geissele, Badger, Scalarworks, or any other cantilever

  • Any mount with a different top plate geometry

If your scope mount doesn’t match the one in the photo, do not purchase this model.
